American soprano Anna Atkinson is completing her Master of Music in Opera and Voice at McGill University, studying under Dominique Labelle. Originally from Carmel, Indiana, she received a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Music Education from Indiana University, where she worked with Timothy Noble. This past summer, she performed with Chicago Summer Opera where she was involved in a production of Giulio Cesare (Cleopatra, cover) and scenes program. She has also performed with IU Opera and Ballet Theater in Lucia di Lammermoor (ensemble) and Dialogues des Carmélites (ensemble). Previously she participated in the Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy in Sankt Goar, Germany. Atkinson was the soprano section leader at Trinity Episcopal Church in Bloomington, Indiana for 2 years under the direction of Marilyn Keiser. She can be seen with Opera McGill this season in La Clemenza di Tito (Roman Guard) and Street Scene (Rose, cover). Additionally, she will be a part of the scenes program in April and be performing a solo recital in May.
